Anya Taylor-Joy

Allya Taylor Joy was born April 16 1996 in Miami Florida. Dennis Alan Taylor is a retired banker, and Jennifer Marina Joy is a psychologist. His father was an Argentine of Scottish as well as English heritage. Her mother comes from Spanish and English roots. Taylor-Joy is the youngest of five children. Four come from her father's previous marriage. The family lived within Buenos Aires until she was six then relocated to the Victoria part in London. According to Taylor-Joy, this move was traumatic and she refused to learn English to the hope of returning to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school after she moved from Northlands. Later, she enrolled in Queen's Gate School where she trained in ballet and appeared in school productions. When she reached the age of sixteen, Taylor-Joy resigned from the school to concentrate on her acting profession. At a very young age, Taylor-Joy knew that she wanted to work as an actress. her goals were realized when she was given a modeling job by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
