LeBron Raymone James Sr. is an American professional basketball player that plays for the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. The nickname is King James he is widely thought to be one of the best players of all time and has often been compared with Michael Jordan in debates over the best basketball player of all time. James has won two Olympic golds, as well as four NBA titles. James has the highest points in the playoffs and has the second highest number of career points and is the seventh player with the most career assists. It is a NBA record that he has been an NBA All-Star for 18 years. He has competed in ten NBA Finals the third most all time including eight consecutively between 2011 and 2018. James joined the NBA 75th Anniversary Team in 2021. In 2022, James became one of the few NBA player to earn 10,000 points in his career. James played at St. Vincent St. Mary High School, in Akron Ohio. The national media celebrated James as an NBA player of the year. He was a pro-prep player and selected with the top pick of the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Draft of 2003. Named the 2004 NBA Rookie of the Year the player quickly became one of the best league players winning the NBA MVP Award in 2009 and 2010. James was not able to secure an award in Cleveland and departed the city in 2010 as a "free agent" in 2010. This decision was made in the TV special The Decision.
