Harry Edward Styles (also known as Harry Styles in the music world) is a British artist and composer. Harry Styles was one among the founders of One Direction. He is the son of Des Styles and Anne Cox. The couple were born on the 1st February 1994, in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, which is where he formed his own band, composed of 3 schoolmates, which he named the White Eskimo. They were the winners of the Battle of Bands in 2009 due to their impressive performances. Although he has always shown interest in music the man also had a dream of becoming the next lawyer or physiotherapist. He worked at a local bakery part-time to help the family with financial issues. In the year 2010, Harry Styles presented audition for The X Factor where he did the track Is not She Lovely by Stevie Wonder and was selected. This is why his band broke up. Nicole Scherzinger, the jury participant of The X Factor suggested Harry Styles join a band called One Direction with Liam Payne Zayn Mlik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne. Simon Cowell was the sponsor of the group that started in 2010. They sang the Kelly Clarkson song My Life Would Be Sucky Without You as well as Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart in the contest, which allowed them to be one of the leading contenders. However, they finished the third spot behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles, his group and Cowell failed to take home the race. Then Cowell gave Harry Styles a 2 million pound contract to sign up with Syco.
