Julia-roberts
Julia Fiona Roberts was born in Atlanta on October 28, 1967 to Betty Lou Bredemus and Walter Grady Roberts. She is the fourth Roberts generation that has lived in Atlanta from her grandfather who was a farmer, John Pendleton Roberts. Her father had the first interest to the stage. As in school in Emory University in 1952 he acted in productions on campus as well as in other parts of Atlanta. While stationed at Biloxi, Mississippi, he was commissioned into the air force in 1953. Betty Lou Bredemus was in that production as well. In 1955, the couple married and in 1956 their child Eric Anthony was born. Walter and his wife left their Air Force service in the year 1957, when they enrolled Walter in Tulane University. Walter was a part of the Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio at the time the family relocated from Atlanta to Decatur, Georgia in the year 1960. Walter as well as Betty Lou produced a Saturday matinee local TV show for children known as Bum Bum and His Buddies in 1964. It was a venture that they funded themselves. They also founded a six-year Actors and Writers Workshop later the same year. The couple had another two children, Lelisa Billingsley (1965) (also named Lisa), and Julia Billingsley (1967) (also know by the name Julie).
