Anita Sarkeesian, a Canadian/American media critic and public speaker. She was the creator of Feminist Frequency a website that hosts videos and commentary analyzing gender representations in popular cultural. Anita Sarkeesian is an award-winning feminist media critic from Canada, as well as a blogger. She is the creator as well as the executive director for Feminist Frequency an educational non-profit website that focuses on the role of women's roles in popular culture narratives. In her efforts to dispel the myths that are associated with females in popular culture, she also tries in highlighting issues relating to harassment targeted at women and the other minorities of people in the online world. Sarkeesian has a Master's degree in the field of political and social thought from York University.
