Ana Maria Cristina Polo Gonzalez, a Cuban/American TV arbitrator with Caso Cerrado, is the anchor for Ana Polo Rules. Ana Polo Gonzalez was born and raised in Havana Cuba and moved with her family to Miami at the age of two. Born in Habana, Cuba, Ana Maria Polo is host of the well-known Telemundo show "Caso Cerrado" which is the first Spanish show to be nominated an Daytime Entertainment Emmy(r) Award. The show in 2015 ranked as the top Spanish-language show in the 4pm hour across all key demos. Polo was born on the 11th of April of 1959, in Havana, Cuba and went on to attend Florida International University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in political science. In the following years she received her PhD degree in law at the University of Miami. After obtaining her PhD at the University of Miami she practiced law in Miami for more than 20 years. Polo first made her appearance on TV in 2001, on Telemundo's Sala de Parejas. She took part in court shows that tapped into her expertise. Literature and Awards in 1958, she wrote Los Hijos Muertos. This novel earned her the Critic's Prize and the Spanish National Prize for Literature. Ana Maria Matute left Spain in 1960 to go to her home in the United States in 1960. Polo was the breast cancer survivor often raises funds for this cause and speaks at events. She has been a strong advocate for LGBT rights throughout the course of her life. She is a lawyer from the University of Miami School of Law in Florida, and is an Florida Bar Member.
